Advertising policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
Every piece on the wall is reviewed by a person before it goes live. This policy explains what we accept. It applies to your image, name, tagline and the website your piece links to, both at approval and for as long as the piece is on the wall.
Allowed
- Businesses, creators, personal brands, projects, charities and communities.
- Your own logo, artwork or photo that you have the right to use.
- Links to an ordinary, working website or social profile using http or https.
Not allowed
- Anything illegal, or promoting illegal products or services.
- Malware, phishing, scams, deceptive redirects, link shorteners that hide the destination, or sites that try to collect credentials or payments under false pretences.
- Sexually explicit content, or adult services.
- Hate, harassment, threats, or content that targets people for who they are.
- Violence, weapons sales, or self-harm content.
- Gambling, unregulated financial products, “get rich quick” schemes, or misleading investment claims.
- Impersonating another person, brand or organisation, or using logos and trade marks you don’t have permission to use.
- Political campaign advertising.
- Misleading claims, including fake reviews, fake scarcity or health claims you can’t back up.
- Content involving or targeting children inappropriately.
Format rules
- Images: PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2MB. We re-encode images and remove metadata. Animated images are shown as a still.
- Name: up to 40 characters. Tagline: up to 90 characters. Plain text only.
- One link per piece. We may show the destination domain to visitors.
After approval
Links may be re-checked at any time. If a destination becomes unsafe, changes into something that breaks this policy, or stops working for a long period, we may suspend the piece and contact you. Permanent placement is conditional on continued compliance with this policy.
